Snooker
Fri Aug 19 2022 Robby effectVery pleased with the game graphics but not sure what can be done with some of the angles with the cue it just gets a little bit touchy!!!!!
Very realistic
Tue Apr 26 2022 kennethy66Feels just like when I used to play competitively. Enjoy it very much after I learned how to turn off the music.
It’s hard
Sun Aug 07 2022 Persian001Even amator is hard to play
Amator is like pro it’s not fun
Wish I could give it more
Tue Jul 19 2022 fckin disappointedAwesome game but they’re are so many weird little issues. Pockets usually bounce way too much, and AI is way too accurate on defensive plays yet can’t sink the 8 on a clear shot… doesn’t make sense.
Could be much better
Sat May 14 2022 mhvhThe app is bulky and clunky. This much could be forgiven. The worse part is that the AI even at the lowest level plays like a pro. A real shame.
Nice game but …
Wed Apr 27 2022 Casper_cdnI get a foul for a ball not hitting a side but the AI players don’t. Sucks!
Graphics
Tue Apr 19 2022 KunalkanzSuch a low quality graphics in Arcade game. Check 8 ball pool and its free.
Very basic
Mon Apr 25 2022 1984theroarIt's a very basic billiards game. I expected more from an Apple Arcase game
Aiming is slow
Sat Apr 23 2022 CafesidonPlease adjust sensitivity of cue aiming.
Not bad, but some improvement needed. Here’s what to fix:
Sat Apr 16 2022 McBruceWX51) Computer players chalk their cue loudly and then take three or four slow practice strokes before actually hitting the ball. If I want to wait that long for someone to play I can watch snooker matches with Peter Ebdon on YouTube… We need a ‘hit the ball already!’ option. And a ‘auto cue chalkers do so soundlessly’ option.
2) When snookered in a pool-based game, the AI often takes a slow roller off a rail towards the object ball and hits it about a centimetre. If the object ball is not near a rail, this is a foul.
3) The AI in snooker gives away a lot of foul points by a refusal to change strategy after several attempts result in the same foul/miss. Often you have to simply conclude that something will never work and try another way before you’ve given up 50 or 80 points attempting the impossible.
4) Could use a feature that rotates a player around the table faster, perhaps by swiping right or left near the top of the screen, with swiping left/right in the centre moving at the normal speed. It would be good to be able to rotate the view post shot when it becomes clear where your next shot will be from.
5) We need to be able to whack the balls on a pool-game break, either with a break shot option or a special break cue that slams the cue ball into the rack with 3-5x the maximum speed.
6) I tried entering the names of the top snooker pros for the generic AI names in the game, but it is impossible to enter the current world #1: no apostrophe in the app’s keyboard! R. O. Sullivan doesn’t seem the same.
7) For some reason, the app sound is fine on my iPad but silent on my iPhone, although the sound comes through with headphones connected.
8) The default shot strength and spin should be alterable for each player. The buttons to press in order to apply spin and then get back to shot mode should not be as far away as they are: good players will be adjusting spin on nearly every shot, and forcing them to click way over on the left edge, adjust spin, then click left side again, then on the right side to set the shot strength and shoot, is too much movement on any large screen. VP has the aim/cue angle/spin buttons all beside one another on screen.
Good selection of games, competition types and levels, table speeds, and cloth/edge colours and ball sets. Backgrounds are a bit cutout-ish. Virtual Pool for iPad is a good alternative and that should be your goal in improving this. It seems more realistic to make the player swipe down and up with varying speeds to shoot, rather than to set a shot strength bar and click a button. The iWare series would be miles better with a VP-like shooting interface as an option for players coming from VP or the new Shooters Pool PC game.
